Sweet dreams are made of this...  Hi!  My name is Doan (Doe on).  I’m a really nice guy who works in Grants Administration for The California Endowment since July ’06.  Since geocities.com closed Oct ’09, I've updated just this page and links, and moved it and its sub-pages to qmug.org.  I don’t really have much that I want or need to say, but here are the basics:

Who am I to disagree...  I’m gay, biologically Asian (and very dark from being born in the mountains of central Vietnam) but culturally very American, male, 41, 5’6”, 121lbs, creative, dependable, drama-free, independent, low-to-no-maintenance, minimalist, outgoing, non-smoker, officer of QMUG/LA for 11 years, very much into my MacBook Pro and iPhone and all kinds of music, like Eurythmics, Annie Lennox, Madonna, classical, dance and alternative, who is seeking someone similar in the Los Angeles or West Hollywood area for something mutual and serious.  I’m a Monkey by Chinese astrology, and a Taurus by the western zodiac.  I also very much like Gilbert & Sullivan’s “Pirates of Penzance,” Rogers & Hammerstein’s “Sound of Music,” Walt Disney’s “Mary Poppins,” Charles Dickens’ “Great Expectations,” George Orwell’s “1984,” and Evelyn Waugh’s “Brideshead Revisited.”  Chotto Nihongo mo dekiru, demo takusan wasuremashita.  Zannen, nee.

I travel the world and the seven seas...  I was adopted in Vietnam at 18 months by a US civilian who was a Mortuary Officer for various branches of the US Department of Defense, and grew up the only child of a single parent.  We moved to Japan, and then I began Kindergarden in Germany (and we traveled all over, even to Tunisia at the northern tip of Africa), 4th Grade in Alameda, CA, high school in the Philippines (and visited Hong Kong, South Korea and Thailand), and college in Japan (and went to my first Macworld Expo, first concert, Eurythmics, twice, and first gay support meeting), then I transferred to UC Riverside, and then have spent the rest of my life so far in Los Angeles.  I went to DC in ’93 for the March on Washington, and New York in ’94 for Gay Games and Stonewall 25, and also lived briefly in Palm Springs.  And I visit San Francisco at least once a year for Macworld Expo.  But enough about me...

Everybody’s lookin’ for something...  Are you a potential date...?  Check each box that describes you, one point each:  gay male,  39-43 years old,  up to 5'9",  up to 150 lbs,  in the 323/213,  independent,  non-smoker,  out,  tidy, and/or  versatile.  E-mail me if you can honestly say, “I scored at least 10 points!”
