Hello Ladies,

I am finally stepping out on faith and beginning a project that has been floating in head the past three years.  I am in the beginning stages of creating a book that will feature stories of relationship successes among lesbians of color.  There is a passion inside that tells me this book is important for the lesbian community.  It is important that we see examples of love and healthy relationships.  I would like to provide this beautiful gift to my community and I really need your support.  Below is the call for couples.  Please forward this email to any friends, couples, listservs, etc.  I would love for this email to be passed on to every lesbian of color in our United States.  Please help in this effort.

Perhaps your story of love and survival will be one of the stories included in this wonderful book.  I look forward to hearing from you.  Thank you in advance for your support.

Call for Lesbian Couples of Color
(African, African-American, American Indian, Alaska Native, Asian,
Caribbean, Hispanic, Latina, Pacific Island heritages, and others)

Are you a lesbian couple that has been together as family a minimum of five years?  If you and your partner are living as family with/without children, I want your story.  I am looking for couples that have been together any length of time beyond five years.  It would truly be encouraging to hear stories of 10, 20 and 30 years together.  If you and your partner would like to share your lives with us, please submit your story of love, joy, pain, and survival.

The stories of selected families will become part of a book created as a tool of encouragement for single lesbians of color that hope to one day live the dream that you live everyday, as well as, support the gay family structure.  Couples must be willing to be interviewed and have photographs taken.
