the QORE

core (kor), —n. 1. the central part of a fleshy fruit, containing the seeds.  2. the central, innermost, or most essential part of anything.

corps (kor), —n. 1. an organization consisting of officers.  2. a group of persons acting together.

the “QORE” (kor), —n. 1. the QMUG/LA Coordinating, Organizing, Recruiting and Retention Entity, the “core” of this Apple Macintosh user group, the centralmost part of QMUG/LA, the heart and soul of QMUG/LA. _2. the Lesbian, Gay and Bisexual Macintosh users in Los Angeles who demonstrate their commitment and dedication to the success of QMUG/LA in their contributions of time and energy to allow QMUG/LA to continue.

Bruce Aguilar is QMUG/LA’s Yahoo! Groups Co-Chair who: Is the co-owner and co-moderator of QMUG/LA’s Yahoo! Groups Internet mailing list; Posts questions to the List which return helpful responses; Prevents spam from being sent out on the List; and Has also facilitated QMUG/LA’s 10th Anniversary Raffle. Doan Stafford is QMUG/LA’s Communications Chair who: Represents the group in an official capacity to Apple and other entities; Updates and maintains our website; Reads, responds to and initiates a significant volume of e-mail, voicemail and written correspondence; Creates our handouts; and Facilitates our meetings, etc. Gil Dawson is QMUG/LA’s Yahoo! Groups Co-Chair who: Is the co-owner and co-moderator of QMUG/LA’s Yahoo! Groups Internet mailing list; Posts questions to the List which return helpful responses; Prevents spam from being sent out on the List; and Has also been our full Chair, Newsletter Editor and featured Presenter.

QMUG/LA would not be as far along as it is now without the contributions of its past QORE members, nor will it get where it wants to be tomorrow without the contributions of some future QORE members. We encourage you to take a look back as well as forward with us.
